Model 1.1.1 · Illustrative inputs

Method and assumptions
Transformation / capabilityIllustrative composition
An illustrative architecture of connected capabilities. The composition is not a maturity score or a proposed technology platform.

The interactive model requires JavaScript. This saved default illustration remains readable if the runtime is unavailable. Values are computed from the canonical model at build time; they describe fictional inputs, with full calculation precision.

Default illustrative result

4 capabilities fit the supplied budget and delivery capacity in prerequisite order. The architecture and audit trail retain every selected identifier and prerequisite. Planned investment is 435 USDk, with 36 person-months of effort. Adjusted annual benefit is 253.76 USDk/year. 65 USDk and 12 person-months remain.

Transparent method

  1. Adjusted annual benefit = stated annual benefit × confidence × readiness. These are explicit judgement multipliers, not measured probabilities.
  2. For each candidate, compute the unselected prerequisite closure, cost, effort and adjusted annual benefit.
  3. Choose the affordable closure with highest marginal annual benefit / investment cost; ties resolve by ID. Repeat with the remaining budget and effort.
  4. Selected sequence follows dependencies. Zero-cost positive-benefit bundles take precedence, subject to effort.
  5. Budget and effort admission compare exact sums of the canonical decimal input numbers, without an absolute feasibility allowance. JSON resourceEvaluation retains the exact decimal capacity, used and remaining accounts.
  6. Tied bundle ratios use literal identifier order independent of browser language for consistent selection; this remains the declared heuristic rather than proof of an optimum.

Limits

  • A deterministic greedy heuristic, not a global optimum, NPV or recommendation to invest.
  • Additive annual benefits assume no overlap, synergies or benefit decay. Readiness and confidence can double count risk if defined inconsistently.
  • No owners, calendars, resource roles or actual enterprise data are inferred.
  • Numerical input precision: use zero or absolute values of at least 0.000000001. Smaller nonzero inputs are rejected explicitly.
  • Annual benefits and density rankings are Number approximations. Resource sums retain canonical decimal precision after JSON parsing; digits already lost in parsing cannot be recovered. The exact resource account does not establish a globally optimal portfolio.
